BACKGROUND

David Rattner received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After completing his residency in surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, he joined the active clinical faculty, where he is now Chief of the Division of General and Gastrointestinal Surgery. In addition to pursuing research on minimally invasive surgery and technology transfer, Dr. Rattner is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He has published over 150 original articles concerning pancreatic disease and biliary disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and minimally invasive therapy.
