The CIMIT Innovation Workshop is a small, invitation-only, conference to promote the exchange of ideas and information, and provide an arena where interdisciplinary discussion can lead to breakthroughs in biomedical engineering and patient care.

International Perspectives in Transforming Primary Care Through Open Innovation

The objective of the workshop was to explore ways that Open Innovation principles can be best applied to rapidly transform healthcare – providing higher quality care with improved access at substantially lower cost. To create concrete examples and stimulate actionable collaborations, the workshop focused on addressing the challenges facing Primary Care and concentrate on the unique issues facing elderly patients and their care providers.
