For four weeks in July, the CIMIT Forum series offers attendees the opportunity to build an understanding of a new or important clinical or technical area. 

Optical Diagnostics is as old as medicine but with the advent of new technologies in light generation, light reception and image analysis - many borrowed from the field of Photonics and some based on the increased capabilities of modern computers - many view this field as the "Next Big Thing" in Health Care. The 2001 Summer Education Series reviewed the state of the current and even future art .
