Forum Abstract
With the increasing use of computed tomography (CT), concerns over perceived risks with associated radiation dose have arisen. Potential risk of radiation induced carcinogenesis with CT radiation dose must be weighed against anticipated clinical benefits from tremendous information provided by CT scanning in appropriate settings Radiologists, physicists and engineers are developing smarter strategies to reduce radiation dose while retaining or enhancing the clinical value of this modern imaging tool.
