Dr. Kigin Named Winner of Professional Achievement Award at BU’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Colleen Kigin, DPT, FAPTA, was recently honored with the Professional Achievement Award by the Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
Dr. Kigin, chief of staff at CIMIT, earned a MS degree in physical therapy at Boston University Sargent College in 1978. She went on to obtain a master's degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a doctorate in physical therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Boston University officials said that as an educator and researcher in the field of physical therapy, “Dr. Colleen Kigin continues to share new advancements and technologies with current Sargent students as well as alumni through professional enhancement conferences.”
As CIMIT’s chief of staff, Dr. Kigin supports the efforts of Executive Director John Parrish, MD, and has been instrumental in developing and sustaining programs in inter-institutional relations and with federal and military agencies.
